F-Gas Legislation

Any supplier working on your system must be registered with REFCOM and hold a F-Gas Registration number. Without it the work is illegal and could affect your insurance cover. Be sure to check the certificate of anyone working on your system.

The main objective of these regulations is to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases used as refrigerants, through leakage prevention.

There is a legal responsibility on operators of refrigeration, air conditioning or heat pump equipment to maintain records covering the maintenance of the equipment and any refrigerant added to or reclaimed from the system. Compact is registered with REFCOM who were appointed by Defra and our Registration Number is REF 1004059.
